Site Selection & Planning
BMI’s industry experts will quickly turn your site design ideas into professionally produced CAD layout drawings, providing detailed recommendations regarding equipment placement. These customized room layout design options are based on available space in either a new or existing facility.Working in partnership with you, we help to determine the best location for your medical imaging system. Our experienced field staff will help design a new space or reconfigure an existing area. We also offer equipment installation services including RF Shielding and equipment relocation and calibration.
BMI will also help review or recommend power and HVAC requirements. With decades of experience in working with architects and builders, BMI technicians speak the language and they respect our suggestions. If you don’t have an existing contractor, BMI can also suggest or arrange for a preferred contractor to work with you.
Equipment De-Installation, Resale & Disposal
BMI can determine the best disposition for existing on-site equipment. If it’s a candidate for refurbishment and resale, we’ll let you know upfront, making it a win-win situation. If your equipment is past its prime, BMI can easily handle all replacement details, so you don’t have to.

All BMI refurbished systems are rigorously tested and re-tested at BMI’s state-of-the-art facility. Equipment is then available for pre-delivery inspection and performance demonstration by the client. This also affords clients the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the equipment with BMI’s technical staff on hand for any and all questions.
BMI then goes to great lengths to assure the safe and timely arrival of your purchase. Equipment is professionally prepared for transportation – secured on purpose-built dollies, bubble wrapped, shrink wrapped and encased in heavy-duty corner and edge protectors. Once all equipment is fully protected to BMI standards, it is entrusted only to specialty shipping companies with trained personnel, air-ride vehicles, and a demonstrated track record of safe, on-time handling and delivery of high-tech equipment.
With a goal of zero downtime, BMI’s field experts work to coordinate CT, MRI or Radiographic installation in conjunction with construction schedules, carrying out a professional installation - calibrating, testing, and verifying that all equipment is fully functional to OEM specification. BMI also works with industry experts to ensure that sites meet all applicable government and regulatory certifications. BMI is there from start to finish - We don’t leave until you’re up and running.
Documentation & Applications Training 
As part of BMI’s demanding quality standards, we can provide detailed service reports, packing lists, equipment photographs, images from installed operating systems, and any documentation of required pre-removal preventive maintenance. In addition, BMI technical staff provides full system documentation, system schematics, and service manuals.BMI also offers technical training programs, led by seasoned engineers with years of knowledge and experience. Select from a complete range of courses for service operators and engineers, from basic to expert level. Individual training programs may include online tutorials, learning by CD-ROM, classroom and hands-on learning at our Training Center, or on-site training.
